HOTEL LE BRISTOL PARIS - LUXURY HOTEL PARIS - LE BRISTOL PALACE 4 ETOILES LUXE

Hôtel Le Bristol, Paris, France

According to Pierre Ferchaud, who has been the Hôtel Le Bristol's Managing Director since 1994: "when a guest enters our foyer for the second time, he will be recognised at once and heartily welcomed – lust like someone coming home. For anyone who was once our guest is at home here".

Love of Details

The history of the present-day "Leading Hotel of the World" dates back to 1758, when one of Louis XV's contractors was captivated by the charm of a large vegetable garden, which fringed the royal tree nurseries. In the course of the centuries, building took place, followed by an extension, then more property was added, alterations undertaken; a hotel was created in 1925, which bears the name of the revered 4th Earl of Bristol, a traveller renowned for his fastidious taste.

Since then the nation's best artisans have continued the tradition of French craftsmanship with a love of detail regardless of whether wood panelling, parquet floors or collections of tapestries are concerned. The owners have always made an effort to provide their guests with the atmosphere of a cultivated private residence. This especially applies since the Oetker Group acquired the hotel in 1978.
The hotel has 162 rooms, 73 of which are suites; all are quietly located – although situated in the very centre of Paris with all its hustle-and-bustle – with air conditioning, computer link and worldwide TV reception.

Two Michelin Stars

Depending on the time of year, gourmets are pampered in the opulently furnished "Winter Restaurant" or the "Summer Restaurant", which opens up on the largest hotel garden in Paris – all 1,200 square metres of it. Eric Frechon cooks here and defines his art as "cuisine based on our French cooking culture, which is in a permanent development process just like the language." The Gourmet Restaurant, awarded two stars by Michelin, is open for lunch and dinner every day; the Wine Cellar with 30,000 bottles (more than 1,000 different wines) is regarded by experts as one of the best in France.

Exclusive Meeting Place for le Tout Paris

The new Bar du Bristol offers drinks and food and is a central meeting point for all of those who matter in Parisian society from early till late. "One" meets up in the romantic Marie Antoinette Salon for tea; confidential chats can be held in intimate alcoves. Incidentally, it's advisable to reserve a table when it's time for an aperitif in the central Saint Honoré Bar. The "fashion Saturdays" when fashion aficionados meet for afternoon tea in keeping with the honoured tradition of Faubourg Saint Honoré are legendary. Talented up-and-comers obtain a platform here alongside Celine, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Chloé and Lacroix.

Salons for Business and Functions

There are five Salons with a total area of almost 1,000 square metres, where individual conferences, seminars, banquets or receptions for 20 to 300 persons become events to remember in a luxurious ambiente with functional design. They all have natural daylight and a view of the French Garden. The Business Centre is open daily from 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.

Fit and beautiful

The covered and heated Swimming Pool on the 6th floor offers an incomparable view over the roofs of Paris right up to Montmartre quite apart from bathing enjoyment. The adjoining Fitness Centre possesses the latest appliances as well as a sauna and massage sector.
In the Beauty Salon, the famous cosmetologist Anne Sémonin provides beauty care, jet lag treatments, massages, Shiatsu and more.

Awards

The American "Institutional Investor" Magazine nominated Le Bristol as the No. 1 in Paris and the whole of France in autumn 2001. More topically, the House received the Prix Villégiature 2005 as the "best hotel graphic design concept in Europe" as well as being adjudged one of the best 20 hotels in the world in Andrew Harper's ratings. In 2005, the Institutional Investor listed the Hôtel Le Bristol an outstanding 16th among its world rankings.

The Location

Whether you collect art, are engaged in the financial district or buy fashion – the Hôtel Le Bristol is the right address. Sited on the classy shopping street rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré, just a few steps away from the Elysée Palace, the Champs Elysées and the Place de la Concorde, it is regarded as one of the most elegant meeting places in the city by travellers and local residents alike. The French capital lies at your feet here. The Roissy Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports can be reached in about 35 minutes.
