Le Bristol Abu Dhabi
Overview
Le Bristol Abu Dhabi, slated to open in 2013, is the pioneering project set forth
by HE Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak al-Nahyan and key representatives from the
Oetker Collection. The foundations are under construction, the vision is
crystallised and the cultural dialogue is dynamic. Paris Abu Dhabi are building
strong cultural bonds that will endure for centuries to come.
HE Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak al-Nahyan shares his ideas below, on Abu
Dhabi’s global objective as an international culture capital and the role of Le
Bristol’s exacting standards of luxury, savoir-vivre and service in this new and
exciting venture in Arabian hospitality.
Q: What made National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels partner with the
Oetker Collection?
A: The partnership between National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels and
the Oetker Collection is part of our strategic roadmap to bring a new
dimension of classic European hotel luxury and style infused with French flair to
the UAE capital.
The NCT&H is delighted to welcome the Oetker Collection to the region
and to work with them to build Le Bristol Abu Dhabi, as we have recognized the
common sprit of the group and the incomparable identity of the various hotels.
This, combined with our legendary Arab hospitality, will extend unparalleled
service levels in the region.
Q: How will Le Bristol Abu Dhabi and it’s rich heritage add value to the regional
hospitality industry? What are it’s unique facets?
A: Le Bristol Abu Dhabi will perfectly complement the unique heritage of
Abu Dhabi. The hotel is backed by the Oetker Collection, which has a
worldwide appeal due to it’s architectural legacy, classic European design,
famous customer service and unmatched array of restaurants, contemporary and
award winning cuisine.
We are happy to bring such an exclusive hotel to this region. Once Le Bristol Abu
Dhabi becomes operational, it will enjoy an enviable reputation in the region and
beyond for the quality of its service offerings.
Q: How does the new hotel fit into the strategic vision for Abu Dhabi as a magnet
for tourism – given the thrust on boosting tourists’ arrivals into the Emirate?
A: Tourism is one the priority areas in the Economic Vision 2030 unveiled by
Abu Dhabi last year. In line with this, Abu Dhabi’s tourism sector is set for a
major boost, buoyed be the inaugural Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix late last
year. As per projections by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, the hotel guest
target is estimated to touch2.7 million annually by 2012. Abu Dhabi is already
getting world class cultural attractions such as Le Louvre Abu Dhabi and The
Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Museum to boost its tourism potential. With world-
class hotels such as Le Bristol Abu Dhabi, we are on the right track to cater to the
tourists’ arrivals in the city.
Q: How will it compliment the other cultural developments in Abu Dhabi such as
Le Louvre?
A: Le Louvre is a towering symbol of art in all its glory with very few equals
across the world. Abu Dhabi is definitely taking centre stage as the most
preferred tourist destination with its world-renowned attractions – be it for
business, art or sporting spectacles. With Le Bristol and Le Louvre, we will be
able to offer truly world-class exclusive attractions in Abu Dhabi.
