Cowdray Cream Tea


As a seasonal celebration of British summertime and the elegance of the polo season, we are delighted to partner with Cowdray Park Polo to present the Cowdray Cream Tea - a collaboration reflecting a shared dedication to British heritage, craftsmanship, and timeless hospitality. Presented from 2 June to 31 July 2026, the experience marks the height of the English social season and culminates with the prestigious Cowdray Gold Cup on 19 July - one of the most anticipated fixtures in the international polo calendar.
Served daily in The Withdrawing Room, the Cowdray Cream Tea presents a refined interpretation of the classic English ritual. Savour freshly baked scones served with traditional clotted cream, seasonal preserves and your choice of tea, accompanied by a bespoke signature cocktail: Cowdray’s Cup. Elegant and celebratory in style, the Cowdray’s Cup is served in a classic coupé glass, its silhouette inspired by the shape of a traditional trophy cup. The cocktail blends Calvados, apple juice, rum, fresh lemon juice, sugar syrup and matcha, before being topped with Gusbourne English sparkling wine for a crisp and effervescent finish.
Bringing the spirit of Cowdray’s renowned polo fields to Hyde Park Corner, the hotel’s lobby will be transformed with a striking floral installation inspired by the sport. The display will feature curated polo memorabilia - including helmets, mallets, and heritage elements - creating a vivid homage to the craftsmanship, tradition, and pageantry of polo.
