The Legacy

It was in this house that the artist spent the final years of his life and created some of his most iconic works. To preserve this historic site and pass it on to future generations, the City of Vence and the Fondation du Patrimoine are carrying out a major restoration program. The work aims to restore the villa to its original splendor while highlighting its role in the region’s artistic and cultural history. This renovation will ultimately breathe new life into this iconic site and raise awareness of the legacy Henri Matisse left in Vence.
